Age & Height Requirements
Yes, provided they are in the same family group. For safety reasons, general adult and junior public sessions are kept separate because adult karts run at higher speeds. In family sessions, junior races run for 15 laps while adult karts run for 18 laps.
Safety comes first, so our minimums are strict: racers must be at least 10 years old and 140cm tall. Our karts are single-seat, so younger children can't ride as passengers.
Arrival & Preparation
Comfortable clothing with nothing loose (scarves, drawstrings), and enclosed shoes — no crocs, thongs or heels. A balaclava is worn under your helmet.
Yes — every racer wears one under their helmet for hygiene. Bring your own or buy one at Drift City for $4, yours to keep.
Please arrive 20 minutes before your session for registration and the briefing. If you're late, we'll try to to fit you in, but we can't hold up other races, so you may miss your slot.
Safety is our top priority — every session includes a full briefing and marshals monitor the track. Racing isn't recommended if you're pregnant or have a heart, back or neck condition. If in doubt, check with your doctor first.
Race Times & Laps
Each session lasts about 18 to 20 minutes in total, which includes your safety briefing, equipment fitting, and 10 minutes of track time. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled time to check in.
Every race has a maximum track time of 10 minutes to keep our schedule running smoothly for all guests. Your race ends as soon as you complete your full lap allocation or hit the 10-minute limit, whichever comes first.
Tick the email box when you register on our touch-screens and we'll send them through. If they don't arrive, ask our team to pull them up on screen.
Kart Performance & Track Layout
It's more about power than top speed. Our electric karts give instant response and control the moment you hit the throttle — enough to drift, and even donut if you spin out.
Yes. Braking longer and harder than you'd expect is how you set the fastest lap — and how you drift into the corners.
For safety, kart speeds are controlled centrally by our track team. If a driver spins out or a marshal needs to step onto the track, speeds are automatically lowered or paused until it’s safe to resume.
Around 175m and extra-wide (roughly 5.5–6m), with room to drift and pass, plus a multi-level layout for extra wow.
A bit of rubbing is fine as you battle for position, but the karts aren't bumper cars — deliberate ramming won't be tolerated.
Bookings & Group Events
It's best to book if you have a time in mind, especially on weekends and school holidays. Check availability and book online.

We run 8 karts on track at once, so our packages are built around 8 racers. Tell us your numbers and we'll tailor it.
Timing, Location & Facilities
Yes — friends and family are welcome to watch from our viewing and café area.
Yes — our café serves food, snacks and drinks, perfect between races or while you spectate.
Yes — our Game Zone has arcade games and prizes to keep the fun going off the track.

Online or in-venue — both physical gift cards and e-gift cards are available.
Yes. Gift cards are valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Please check the expiry date shown at the time of purchase.

To book using a gift card, please call our venue team with your card number ready, and we will get your session locked in.
